Great place for something a little different. Prices are a little higher than usual. Atmosphere is nice but a little loud. Here is a picture of the "staff burger."

Great place to eat. Food contains so much flavor and atmosphere is incredible. Do make reservations before hand and that will make the experience significantly more enjoyable.

Very good wine selections. Had an outstanding ribeye. They bake their own bread which is excellent. Always have well prepared fish selection. Our favorite small restaurant in Billings.

Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Worth the wait. Staff burger is always a great surprise. And the poutine is something worth trying.

Of all the restaurants in Billings, this is possibly the best one. The food is amazing, the staff is incredible, and the atmosphere is hard to beat.

BEST BRUNCH IN BILLINGS. Sorry, Fieldhouse. My favorite item at Local were the hashbrowns and the pancakes. The hashbrowns aren't those boring, soggy hash browns that you get from the frozen section. They are crispy and perfectly seasoned. The pancakes are also delicious. I also got coffee and was surprised by how good their standard cup tasted. The coffee wasn't anything special but it was better than any other breakfast spot's coffee. I definitely recommend this place, and don't forget to make a reservation! We walked in on a Sunday morning and the first thing they asked us is if we had a reservation. I didn't know that we needed one going in but luckily they had bar seating -- which we enjoyed anyways because we got to see a little behind the scenes.

Awesome live music. Shout out to Ben the bass player, his dad and uncle for putting on an awesome show. The bar has tons of great beer to choose from too

Absolutely love local! The food is amazing. The staff is friendly, courteous and kind! We love enjoying a local spot. Supporting the local economy! Get there, but make sure you have a reservation! They are always busy. But the place is small, so the service is great. They have a wonderful patio in the summer!

The atmosphere and the wait staff are amazing.

I had the ribs. They were slow cooked so the meat fell off the bone. It had lots of flavor and the corn mix serve along side was great. The potatoes would score a three due to being dry. I would have rather have the fries served with the dinner. Maybe something to ask.

Very clean, the food is great and obviously prepared by a true chef. And thankfully doesn't have the crazy oversized portions that seemed to be the trend these days this place is definitely quality in the proper quantity

I like this place because it is so unique and you have to feel adventurous when ordering. I like how they present and serve bottles of wine. However, it's expensive. Not a place I want to take my kids.

I've never been disappointed by the food and service at the Local. The wait staff is friendly and attentive; the food is creative and unique, and consistently good; the atmosphere is modern and comfortable, with a pleasant covered patio outside. I recommend this place to everyone, and haven't heard a bad report from friends who have tried it.

Cozy great place. Best food in billings. Specials are always interesting. Presentation is awesome. Sourcing of all food is local. You need reservations due to size of eating area. Prices are really good for caliber of food you get. Brunch is amazing.

This place is amazing!! My favorite dish is the local mess. I live out of town so it is always a special treat when I can visit.

Great atmosphere - limited seating but cozy space. Once seated, I received great service and enjoyed the chicken and biscuits in gravy! The simple brunch menu was straightforward and elevated. I will be going back! Don't skip the coconut tea 👌

Nice place with local fare, beer and wine with a well chosen atmosphere. Small table area so be prepared to wait during the weekends especially when it's cold and they don't open the patio area. Great service too.

Loved it! Six of us went for a birthday party! We shared three pizzas and three appetizers. The supreme, the shredded pork, and chicken bacon pizza were all delicious! The crab cakes and the poutine french fries and regular French fries were also very good!!!! The service was quick and very nice. Definitely recommend!

First time in billings. Came to this well reviewed and recommend place by locals for a quick lunch before heading to Yellowstone. At 3pm on Saturday afternoon they had only 5 menu items available. Somewhat disappointed as we drove accros town to enjoy the meal. Overall very cozy restaurant with rustic style.

This is a great restaurant with a huge heart. At the very least, we make it a point to come to the monthly Share The Love event. Awesome food and great staff. Most importantly, it's nice to see a beer selection that isn't the same five Billings standards you can get anywhere else.

Do not order the poutine. The first time we got home and we were greeted by rubber poached eggs with yolks 100% cooked and dry fries with no gravy. Drove back and talked with owner who apologized and remade and the ones we were served after were RAW(but they did have gravy!). Like a snot rocket over fries. The white seriously hadn't even conglomerated, it was just raw egg white smothered all over with the yolk on the side floating alone since it wasnt cooked and couldnt bind to the white. Raw egg. Wish I could attach an image to my review but doesnt seem like I can. Uploaded one to the photos page though. So so so disappointed. Management tried to make it right by offering a free growler next time I come by, but dont think I'll be returning.I went back and owner apologized and gave me my money back. But I absolutely will not return. An exceptional letdown.

Awesome food. I had the Sea Bass and my husband had the Buffalo short ribs. We had the crack pie for dessert! It was all amazing and we saw several things on the menu that we want to try. We will definitely be back! Great job Ken!

Well, honestly it's probably not a 5 star, just 4+, but close enough because Billings really does not have any other very good dining places like this. Ok, so maybe it is a 5 star. Been back a couple of more times. Food taste is very unique and delicious, but still comfort food. Very consistent. Today Brittany served us. Very charming, responsive. Local is more like the small restaurants in the quaint section of larger cities.Food is very good. Portions are large. Michael was a prompt and courteous server.

Yes!!! One of the best places to grab a bite and enjoy Billings at its best.. plus... the poutine is beyond delicious!
